What a fantastic analogy! Also reminds me of “bloatware” that often gets installed on Windows PCs and 3rd party Android phones - pre-installed, difficult to remove, typically has a negative effect on the overall performance of the system.

Same thing happened to me; “God made you, loves you, has a plan for you”.

I was 6. I didn't know what a god was.
